The Best

So, you tell me that I am the chosen one first, and you take it back a few hours later. You think you can do that. You think you are entitled to that decision. I was just seeking for your approval, and I got it first, so I'm the heir of your throne. Nobody else. Because no one else has fought as much as I have to be where I am, and because no one else cares as much as I do. And, yes, I do realize that for most, what I´ve achieved is infimous compared to many other things. But if you had walked in my shoes, you would know that what I´ve accomplished makes me feel like I have the world in my hand.
When people come to me asking for favours, for me to handle a certain situation, advice, or their own desperation, and they do not want to go to anybody else, that's when I know I'm doing a great job. That's when I know I'm the best. And believe me, I'm not saying this because I think too much of myself. Whoever really knows me, knows I'm the person with the lowest self-esteem ever. And I'm not saying this because I am a Resolution Specialist, and because it is a fact that ALL Resolution Specialists swim in their own ego. I'm saying this because I simply know it, because everything and everybody around me shows me likewise.
Would the best person give up at the first sign of a big storm? Wouldn't the best person take all the hits they can, just to give the final hit harder than the rest? I'm sorry to dissapoint you, but the one that you believe in so much, has given up long ago. I don´t even think he is interested in your legacy.
And if he were, I must admit that he would do a great job.
But you know what? I would do it better.
